When someone asks me if I practice religion, my honest answer is: not in the traditional sense. I don’t follow a single path, nor do I attend rituals regularly. But I do have my own little ways of staying grounded — like my morning coffee, which is basically sacred. For me, it’s less about formal practices and more about living with intention. I try to embrace values that seem to echo across all faiths: be kind, stay humble, help others, and yes, return your shopping cart.
I believe that goodness isn’t owned by any one belief system — it’s a universal language. Whether you find meaning in scriptures, meditation, nature, or simply in being present for someone, it all counts. Personally, I like to think karma is keeping tabs (probably on a spreadsheet), and I try to stay on its good side. So while I may not wear a badge of any particular faith, I do try to live each day with compassion and integrity. And if the universe is handing out rewards, I hope it accepts good intentions and a few well-placed jokes as valid currency.
