Where Should I Invest? The Question You Should Never Ask

I often get asked, “Where should I invest?” And honestly, I hate this question. Over the past 6–7 years, I have explored multiple investment options, yet each time, I faced disappointment. It’s not that I haven’t looked into promising opportunities—I have even tried services recommended by trusted acquaintances. But through my experience, I’ve realized that this is the wrong question to ask.

Investment decisions should never be based on someone else’s advice alone. Instead, they should be made after thorough personal research, understanding risk tolerance, and aligning with financial goals. Ultimately, the best person to decide where to invest is you.

My Approach: Research-Driven Investing

To avoid past mistakes, I now take a data-driven approach. I analyze companies right after they release their earnings reports, comparing their actual performance against their forecasts. This strategy helps me track financial health and evaluate stock performance every quarter.
